Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting tanks. 25 Plate Scania and brand new tank.
4 on 4 off working night shift pattern between 0600-1800 (12 hour shifts)
Responsibilities
- Operate tank's, transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents during transport.
- Communicate effectively with weighbridge and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence Class 1.
- Previous experience as a tank driver is preferred, particularly with blowing tank's.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
