Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining high standards of taste and visual appeal
- Ensure all food safety regulations and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to within the kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through efficient stock management
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality setting
- Extensive food preparation and cooking skills across diverse cuisines
- Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Experience in food production, ensuring consistency in quality across all dishes
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
