Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced distribution team. The role involves picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently, supporting goods movement within the warehouse, and maintaining high standards of health and safety. A counterbalance FLT licence is preferred due to the physical nature of the role.
Responsibilities
- Safely handle and move materials within the warehouse, including heavy lifting where necessary
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery in accordance with safety protocols
- Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory accurately
- Prepare items for shipping and receiving, including picking, packing, and labelling orders
- Stock shelves and storage areas efficiently to optimise space utilisation
- Assist in loading and unloading lorries using appropriate equipment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Support warehouse management with stock rotation and cycle counting activities
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Counterbalance FLT licence (desirable)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Overtime paid @ 1.5.
