We are looking for a talented and driven Junior Sous Chef to join the team at Seventy Five at Liberty, a Two Rosette, award-winning restaurant set within one of London’s most iconic department stores. Our menus celebrate modern British cuisine, with a strong focus on sustainability and locally sourced produce, all delivered in a vibrant and stylish setting.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative kitchen at one of London’s most exciting dining destinations, while developing your skills within an ambitious and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead sections during service and assist in coordinating the wider kitchen team
- Assist in the development and delivery of seasonal menus, specials and new dishes
- Ensure exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and consistency at all times
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen regulations
- Support stock management, ordering, rotation and waste control to maximise efficiency and profitability
- Train, mentor and support junior chefs, helping to foster a positive and professional kitchen culture
- Take responsibility for sections of the kitchen and support senior chefs in maintaining operational standards
About You
- Experienced Junior Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie with a proven background in a high-quality restaurant environment, looking to take the next step in their career
- Passionate about modern British cuisine and seasonal ingredients
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy section and support wider kitchen operations
- High attention to detail and a commitment to consistency
- Calm under pressure with the ability to perform during busy service periods
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work evenings, weekends and peak periods
- Ambitious and eager to contribute to the continued success and development of a growing restaurant operation
- Keen to learn, develop and work closely alongside an experienced senior kitchen team in a Two Rosette environment
