We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Support chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure the cleanliness of work surfaces and floors throughout the shift.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Maintain storage areas in an organised manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with setting up dining areas and clearing tables when required during service periods.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
