Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef with a minimum of 2 years experience as a head chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the culinary team, oversee food production, and ensure the highest quality of dishes in our establishment.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Add to existing menu and develop new recipes ensuring varied and high quality dishes.
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and monitoring supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized cooking environment -Responsible for Health & Safety and Food Hygiene practices. -Responsible for ensuring EHO standards meet regulation, including food safety and allergens.
-Training new kitchen employees
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of hospitality, food safety, and culinary techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Proficient in supervising kitchen operations and staff
- Creative flair in menu planning and presentation
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with the team effectively
