Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable HGV Class 2 Blower Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate an bulk blower lorry to deliver bulk animal feed to farms across the Southwest . Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery will ensure smooth operations, timely service, and satisfied clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and attention to detail make a real impact. This role is a 3 week rolling 4 day working week, with a 5 day weekend every 3 weeks.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV bulk blower vehicle
- Load from either the mill or blendshed and then blow or tip loads safely at customers farms.
- Deliver feed to various farms, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all transactions.
- Communicate effectively with Transport office, Farmers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- As there are 2 drivers on alternative shifts per vehicle, all vehicles are to be fuelled up and cabs cleaned out at end of final shift of pattern.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving advantageous, not requirement
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with excellent knowledge of route planning and navigation.
- Familiarity with operating blower systems or willingness to learn specific equipment handling procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols, vehicle maintenance, and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently while following company policies and procedures.
