To undertake a range of routine technical duties in support of Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Duties will include: Greeting patients and staff at the pharmacy reception.
Assembly and dispensing of items against prescriptions and ward diaries.
Providing a pharmacy ward top-up service to allocated ward(s).
Working with other team members to ensure timely supply of medication to expedite patient discharge.
Receiving stock from suppliers within the pharmacy store.
Assisting in the delivery and collection of pharmacy items to and from wards and departments.

The role we have on offer is a rotational position and will involve working within the Main Dispensary, Pharmacy Distribution and on the wards.
Within the Dispensary, you will dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients, as well as greeting patients and staff at our reception.
Within Distribution you will receive goods from suppliers and load our robot. You will also be responsible for the supply of stock items to Wards and Departments within our Hospital.
Working alongside other members of the pharmacy team on the ward, ensuring timely supply of medication to expedite patient discharge.
Previous Pharmacy experience is desirable but not necessary as training will be given in all aspects of the job, including use of the computer system.
You will also be expected to attain the NVQ Level 2 within 12 months of taking up the post.
