An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our well-established Holderness General Adult Community Mental Health Team in the beautiful East Riding of Yorkshire.
Based within the picturesque Holderness area, including Hornsea and Withernsea, this is a fully community-based post, with no inpatient responsibility.
As part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will provide senior clinical leadership, assessment and management of complex cases, and contribute to the ongoing development of high-quality, recovery-focused mental health services.
The service is supported by experienced nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and administrative staff, serving a population of over 52,000 people. You'll also have opportunities to teach and supervise trainees, participate in research and quality improvement, and benefit from excellent CPD support.

There is a requirement that the successful candidate will undertake on-call responsibilities on the specialist Consultant on-call rota for General Adult Psychiatry.
Applicants should have full registration with the GMC, possess MRCPsych UK or have an equivalent post-graduate qualification. They should be on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry, or be within 6 months of achieving CCT in General Adult Psychiatry.

As a consultant working for the Holderness Community team, you will have responsibility for the provision of safe and effective care and treatment. You will share the vision of integrated and multi-disciplinary working and actively engage in the development of the service through research and support.
The post holder would be expected to be approved as a Responsible Clinician or be willing to undertake training to obtain Section 12(2) MHA and will be expected to renew this approval according to agreed procedures.
The ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport is essential.
