Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while supporting warehouse operations adn packaging of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in warehouse environments, and excellent communication abilities. Duties
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation, inventory management, and order fulfilment and packaging goods
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks within the warehouse as required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during deliveries and warehouse activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Organised, punctual, and able to manage time effectively during deliveries and warehouse duties
- Good physical fitness to handle manual handling tasks throughout the shift
