Fabrication Engineer
We are currently looking for a Fabricator/Welder experienced in MIG/TIG to join a local branch based in Caldicot of a National Company. The successful applicant will be producing a variety of bespoke projects for sites across the Southwest & Wales . including Shutters & Gates, Fencing, Handrails and Steelwork.
Previous experience as a Welder fabricator is essential and candidates must have at least 3 years experience in a similar role. The ability to carry out work from verbal instructions, read fabrication drawings and follow detailed specification instructions along with a good mathematical ability and confidence in working with angles and measuring is essential. Use of hand held equipment used in welding and metal fabrication including welding plant, grinders, drills, oxy/acetylene cutting equipment will be required.
The successful applicant needs to based in the Caldicot/Chepstow/Newport area only, be self-motivated and able to work individually and as part of a team and must have the ability to work in a safe manner following health, safety, environment and quality guidelines and instructions. In return we offer a competitive rate of pay (with overtime when available and paid at a premium),There is a mix of factory and site work involved and the role would suit a person with the ability to turn their hand to other tasks. Full driving licence is required.
