Cambridge Country Club is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Part-Time Golf Shop Assistant to join our Golf Operations team. Based within our busy Golf Shop, you will be responsible for providing first-class customer service to our members and visitors while helping to maintain a professional retail environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in golf who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
The Role
As a Golf Shop Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Golf Shop. You will assist customers with retail purchases, offer product advice, manage stock and ensure the shop is presented to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on golf equipment, clothing, footwear and accessories.
- Operate the till and process sales accurately.
- Receive, unpack and merchandise new stock.
- Ensure the shop remains clean, organised and visually appealing.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock replenishment.
- Promote current retail offers, memberships, golf events and club services.
- Support the Golf Operations team with daily duties.
- Help create a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors.
What We're Looking For
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- A good knowledge of golf is essential, including an understanding of golf equipment, apparel and accessories.
- A genuine passion for golf and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, professional and approachable manner.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work weekdays, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Confident using tills and handling cash and card transactions.
