Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Gosberton House Care Home. This is a full time, permenant role, 37.5 hours a week, preferably day shift but can accomodate night shifts. The ideal candidate will have had experience working as a nurse in a care home setting, provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while demonstrating a thorough understanding of anatomy and nursing practices. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring for side effects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment options, and preventative care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and concerns, providing emotional support as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in a care home setting is essential for qualified nurses.
- Trained in PEG/RIG feeding, Manual Evacuation, Enemas, Wound Care, Tracheostomy Care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of nursing practice.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice.
