The Anchor is an independent, well‑established village pub in Stanwell Moor (near Heathrow). We’re dog‑ and family‑friendly, known for a warm welcome and high standards. We’re hiring experienced bar staff who enjoy great hospitality, taking ownership of a shift, and getting to know regulars.
Pay: £12.71per hour + paid holiday (equivalent to 12.07% extra per hour when holiday pay is included)
Hours: 4–16 hours per week (part‑time, permanent)
Hiring timeline: We’re looking to have our new team in place by mid‑January.
Typical shifts (rota)
- Friday: 4pm–12am
- Saturday: 12pm–6pm or 6pm–12am
- Sunday: 12pm–5pm
- Occasional weekday shifts available
- Shifts are 4–8 hours and confirmed up to 2 months ahead
- Weekend availability required on a rota basis (not every weekend)

Location & travel (essential – please read)
This role suits someone local. You must:
- Live within ~15 minutes of TW19 6AQ, and
- Have a reliable way to get to and from the pub, including after midnight finishes (check public transport/taxis/your transport before applying).
What you’ll be doing
- Serving draught, wine, spirits and simple cocktails/mixed drinks
- Taking cash/card payments accurately
- Maintaining a clean, welcoming bar, pub and garden area
- Stock rotation and basic cellar/stock tasks
- Supporting simple food service (running meals, clearing tables)
- Helping occasionally during events (not typically required to run them)
Training & support
- A supportive, close‑knit team and a well‑run venue with clear standards
- Training included, with Level 2 certificates in:
- Food Hygiene
- Health & Safety
- COSHH
- Licensing Awareness (England & Wales)
- Potential for additional hours after ~6 months for the right person
- Optional kitchen training/shifts if you’d like to develop further
