Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Trade counter and Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are stored, organised, and dispatched accurately. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to communicate effectively, and a willingness to engage in heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
Working on the trade counter and serving customers along with replenishing stock
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Prepare orders for dispatch by picking, packing, and labelling items accurately.
- Maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as required (training may be provided).
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding stock levels and order fulfilment.
- Support delivery drivers by loading and unloading goods from vehicles when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving or delivery driving is a plus for candidates interested in multi-tasking roles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift is required.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred for those who may be involved in driving duties or operating delivery vans.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork within the warehouse setting.
