Job brief
The Hotel is looking for reliable and experienced Part time Night Porters to join the Hotel. The applicant must be fit, of very smart appearance and possess excellent Customer Service Skills.
Main responsibilities
· Ensure all access to the hotel is secure as required by hotel policy and procedure
· Perform any related security duties as required overnight
· To act in accordance with all health and safety, Hotel and Stadium security, Emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these as required
· Record any unusual occurrences or problems arising to the Duty Manager and take appropriate action
· Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints - pass on to relevant HODs or Managers if unable to handle
· To handle all telephone calls, including external and internal calls
· Complete daily cleaning task of public areas, landings and offices
· Check in late arrivals and check out early departures in line with hotel procedures
· Set up conference rooms to the required standard and assist other departments as necessary
· Ensure that wake up calls are made promptly
· Deliver newspapers to guest bedrooms
· Take room service orders, prepare the food and drinks and deliver to guests
· Provide bar service after the late shift team members have finished their shift
Requirements
· Reliability, commitment and positive attitude
· Flexibility to work night shifts including weekends
· Good physical strength as some cleaning and light lifting will be required
· Excellent personal presentation and verbal communication and listening skills
· Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service with a ‘can do’ attitude
· Knowledge of basic food and beverage operations preferable
· Hotel experience desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
· Legal right to work in the UK

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
