The Role: Lunch Cover Nursery Educator
We’re looking for someone to join our team during the busy lunch period—a few precious hours each day when little bellies need filling, faces need wiping, and imaginations still run wild. You’ll help make sure our children enjoy a happy, calm, and engaging midday experience while supporting their wellbeing and the smooth running of the nursery.
What You’ll Do
- Support mealtimes: Help children enjoy their lunches, encourage good eating habits, and promote conversation and sharing around the table.
- Be there for the little moments: Whether it’s helping with handwashing, comforting a child who’s missing home, or cheering on a new food adventure.
- Keep playtime joyful: Supervise play before or after lunch, making sure it stays safe, inclusive, and fun.
- Handle the unexpected: From spills to the occasional upset tummy—you’ll stay calm and positive.
- Work as part of a team: Help the room staff create a smooth transition between morning and afternoon activities.

- Good communicator: Whether with toddlers or teammates, you’re clear, calm, and friendly.
- Flexible and reliable: You’re happy to jump in and help wherever needed.
