We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wood Street Veterinary Hospital on a permanent basis. Available as either a full-time or part-time opportunity, this is an excellent role for an RVN who is motivated, enthusiastic and keen to utilise their nursing skills to the fullest.
Our thriving 24-hour RCVS-accredited hospital is both ISFM Cat Friendly and Rabbit Friendly Certified, offering exposure to a broad range of cases from ECC through to orthopaedic surgery. You’ll be joining a collaborative and highly skilled team in a hospital environment with access to advanced equipment and technology.
We actively encourage CPD and professional development, with opportunities to undertake further training and develop your responsibilities. Facilities include recently refurbished operating theatres, laparoscopy, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, isolation unit and separate dog and cat wards.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion and hospital cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- Full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time hours available
- Flexible rota options to suit individual availability
- Opportunities for evening and weekend working
- Approximately 1 in 4 Saturdays, with TOIL provided
- No nights, Sundays or bank holidays
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
