Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic processing of laundry within our establishment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the overall cleanliness and presentation standards of our facility. Prior hotel experience is considered advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The Laundry Assistant plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines with care and attention to safety.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items efficiently, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics.
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned, pressed, folded, and stored correctly according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents and cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Assist with special laundry requests or urgent tasks as required by management or guests.
