Due to the secure nature of the programme, active UK Security Clearance (SC) is required for this position. This is a hybrid role based in London, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will provide PMO support across a portfolio of projects, helping to maintain effective governance, reporting and delivery controls. You'll work closely with Project Managers and programme teams to coordinate project activities, maintain project documentation and ensure timely reporting of progress, risks and key milestones. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with governance standards.
You'll also contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, supporting project assurance activities and helping teams adopt consistent delivery practices. Working across multiple projects, you'll collaborate with stakeholders at all levels while developing your experience in project governance within a secure, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain & update project plans, risk registers, issue logs and governance documentation
- Coordinate & support project meetings, agendas, minutes and action tracking
- Produce & distribute project status reports, dashboards and management information
- Monitor & track project milestones, dependencies and deliverables
- Support & maintain financial tracking, resource planning and budget monitoring
- Manage & organise project documentation, repositories and version control
- Assist & support project assurance reviews, governance activities and audits
- Identify & improve PMO processes, reporting and delivery standards
- Collaborate & communicate with Project Managers, delivery teams and client stakeholders
- Support & maintain accurate project information across multiple workstreams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You'll have previous experience in a PMO, Project Support or Project Coordination role and enjoy working in structured delivery environments. You'll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities while producing accurate reporting and maintaining effective project controls. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach will help you build positive relationships across project teams.
Essential qualifications
- Previous experience in a PMO, Project Support Officer or Project Coordinator role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience maintaining project plans, risks, issues and governance documentation
- Experience producing project reports, dashboards and management information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and governance frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across concurrent projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable qualifications
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint or Power BI
- Experience within Policing, Central Government, Emergency Services or Telecommunications
- PMO, PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent project management certification
