Workshop Engineer – Power Tool Repairs
We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our busy workshop, servicing and repairing small power tools from all major manufacturers, including both electric and battery-powered equipment.

We carry out warranty repairs for leading tool manufacturers and also operate a busy hire department. All equipment must be maintained and serviced to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming customers, discussing repair requirements and booking tools into the repair department.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out servicing and repairs.
- Identifying and ordering parts using Microsoft Office, Excel and manufacturers’ systems.
- Updating repair records and booking completed tools back to customers using our bespoke computer system.
- Assisting customers with tool-hire enquiries and equipment.
- Answering telephone calls.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop and work area.
- Completing occasional deliveries when required.
- Reporting to the Workshop Manager and completing assigned jobs efficiently.
What we are looking for
- Experience in repairing electric and battery-powered tools.
- Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills.
- A friendly, professional manner and good communication skills.
- The ability to work well within a small team and use your own initiative, particularly under pressure.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
