HJ Talent is recruiting on behalf of a respected children's residential care provider for an experienced Registered Manager to lead their established 3-bed children's home near Stone, Staffordshire.
The home provides a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive provider that values high-quality care, staff development, and positive outcomes for young people.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the day-to-day management of the home.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Maintain and build upon the home's current Good Ofsted rating.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated staff team.
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture throughout the service.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and positive outcomes for children.
- Manage recruitment, staffing, supervision, and rotas.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals.
- Manage budgets and ensure the home operates efficiently.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards it).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager within children's residential care.
- Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's residential legislation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
- A full UK driving licence.
