We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting medication efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driving licence, experience with small vans, and a good understanding of delivery procedures.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
- Abide by privacy and confidentiality laws
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines, be confident in using delivery app provided by the company to complete deliveries.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Verify delivery orders and ensure accurate documentation for each delivery
- Communicate effectively with the pharmacy and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle to ensure safety and efficiency during deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles
- Proven experience as a delivery driver
- Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing goods
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and service excellence
Pay: £12.71-£12.99 per hour
