Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and kindness. This role involves assisting with daily activities, maintaining care plans, and providing excellent communication to promote well-being and independence. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the implementation and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Help with domestic chores including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records in accordance with organisational policies
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain clear communication with team members, residents, and their families regarding care needs and updates
- Assist with organising appointments or transportation, including driving clients when necessary
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
Skills
- Driving licence is desirable for transporting clients or running errands
- Experience working within a care home environment or providing home care is advantageous
- Knowledge of creating and following personalised care plans
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills to build trust with residents and their families
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail in all aspects of care delivery

Pay: £24,420.00-£30,786.70 per year
