Job description:
We are looking for residential support workers who have had experience working with children who have social and emotional difficulties and have suffered childhood trauma and abuse.
What we require from a Residential Support Worker
· Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children
· Must be able to sleep over and undertake shifts, including evenings and weekends
· Passionate about working with children and young people
· Resilience and patience.
· The ability to manage challenging behaviour
· The ability to support children with their everyday needs and routines including; emotional support, developing their independent skills, advocating for children, record keeping. In addition to; cooking meals, cleaning the home, washing & ironing.
· Ability to organise and lead activities such as; swimming, cinema, visits to theme parks, arts & crafts, baking, computer games etc.
· Willing to work as part of a team
· Car driver and willing to transport
