We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Horsham, West Sussex.
You will operate 360 tracked excavators across a range of groundwork and material processing activities, with a particular focus on crusher operations. You will work alongside the crushing plant and wider site team to efficiently feed, process and manage construction materials, maintaining high standards of safety and plant care.

Operating 360 tracked excavators safely and efficiently

Supporting crusher operations by feeding the crusher with concrete, hardcore, aggregates and other suitable materials

Loading and managing material into the crusher hopper

Selecting and handling materials appropriately for crushing

Working alongside the Crusher Operator and wider site team to maintain a consistent flow of material

Carrying out general excavation and bulk earthworks
-
Digging strip foundations, trenches and bulk excavations to drawings and levels

Topsoil levelling, type 1 / crush placement and road formation works

Lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets
-
Acknowledging the need for dig permits before breaking ground

Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques

Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks

Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator +/- 10t Tracked*

CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
-
Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
-
Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades

Right to work in the UK

Previous experience working around or supporting crusher operations

GPS machine control experience

CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper

5+ years of experience
