Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Catering Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will support the smooth operation of catering services by assisting with food preparation, service, and clean-up. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with company standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure all serving areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic throughout shifts.
- Support with setting up catering events
- Clear away used crockery, cutlery, and waste promptly after service.
- Restock supplies and maintain stock levels during shifts.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and guests.
- Assist with general cleaning duties in kitchen and service areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
