Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Baby Room Practitioner (Level 3) to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional care and early education to children under 2 years old, supporting their development through engaging activities and nurturing interactions. Your skills will help create a positive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care tailored to the individual needs of babies, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development across all areas, including communication skills, social interaction, and physical growth
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating nursery environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Support children’s emotional development through positive reinforcement, reassurance, and effective communication
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations, sharing best practices and contributing to team meetings
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Manage basic administrative tasks related to children's Tapestry Online Learning Journeys
Requirements
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education
- Demonstrate extensive experience working with babies in a nursery or childcare setting, minimum 1 year working with children under 2 years old
- Show strong teamwork skills to guide junior staff and support team cohesion
- Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Have a genuine passion for childcare and early childhood development principles such as the Reggio Approach
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and health & safety standards relevant to early years settings

Pay: £13.65 per hour
