Story Electrical was founded in 2018 by Mark Story, growing from a one-man operation into one of the region's leading electrical contractors. Based in Market Deeping and covering Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, we deliver domestic and commercial electrical installations, rewires, fault-finding, EICR inspections, and are specialists in EV charge point installation and maintenance.

The Role
We're looking for an experienced EV charger installer and maintenance engineer to join our growing team, taking the lead on domestic and commercial EV charge point installations, servicing, and fault diagnosis across Peterborough and the surrounding area.
- Install domestic and commercial EV charge points to the highest standard, in line with BS7671 and OZEV/manufacturer requirements
- Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, and fault diagnosis/repair on existing installations
- Complete accurate certification, test results, and job paperwork
- Liaise directly with clients, providing a professional, award-standard customer experience
- Support and mentor our apprentices on site
What We're Looking For
- City & Guilds Level 3 (2365/2391 or equivalent) and 18th Edition BS7671 qualified
- Recognised EV charge point installation qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent)
- Solid, proven experience installing and maintaining EV chargers – domestic and commercial
- Strong fault-finding ability and a methodical, safety-first approach
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- A professional manner and pride in doing the job properly – first time
