We are seeking Junior Sous to join our brigade. The successful candidate will assist in meal preparation, support kitchen operations, and ensure high standards of food safety and service. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in daily operations, including cleaning and maintaining workstations
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling, and measuring as required
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain organisation of kitchen supplies and stock levels
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Basic understanding of meal and food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving customers
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop culinary knowledge
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required
- A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and a proactive attitude towards teamwork
