Job Description
A family-run supported living provider in West Sussex is looking for an experienced Interim Registered Manager to support the development and CQC registration of a new supported living service.
We are seeking someone local who shares our values of delivering compassionate, person-centred care and who can provide professional leadership and guidance throughout the registration process.
This is an ideal opportunity for an existing Registered Manager, Responsible Individual or experienced care professional looking to undertake a flexible consultancy role while helping shape a new service from the very beginning.
Following successful CQC registration, there may be an opportunity for the role to develop into a permanent Registered Manager position.

The service will support adults aged 18+ with:

- Mental Health Needs
- Dual Diagnosis

What We're Looking For
Applicants should have experience in:
- Supported Living
- Registered Manager responsibilities
- Learning Disabilities
- Autism
- Mental Health
- CQC compliance and governance
A good understanding of:
- Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Safeguarding
- Person-centred care
- Quality assurance and governance
Knowledge of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism would be advantageous.
Role Responsibilities
You will provide professional support by:
- Assisting with the CQC registration process
- Advising on governance and compliance
- Reviewing policies and procedures
- Supporting person-centred care planning
- Providing leadership and operational guidance
- Helping prepare the service for a successful launch
Interim Support Arrangement
Initially, the role will involve approximately 2 hours per month, providing remote mentoring and professional advice during the registration process.
As the organisation grows, there will be the opportunity to transition into a permanent Registered Manager position if mutually agreed.

Pay: £350 per month
Contract: Interim Consultancy (approximately 2 hours per month)
Duration: 8 months initially, with potential for a longer-term opportunity
