About the Opportunity
Team Care Compliance is recruiting on behalf of a family-run supported living provider in West Sussex seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to support the development and CQC registration of a new supported living service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or senior care professional looking for a flexible consultancy role alongside their existing employment or consultancy commitments.
Following successful CQC registration and the launch of the service, there will be the opportunity to discuss progressing into the permanent Registered Manager position, should this be of mutual interest.
About the Service
The service will provide person-centred support for adults aged 18 years and over with:
- Learning Disabilities
- Autism
- Mental Health Needs
- Dual Diagnosis

The Role
During the registration phase, this is a low-commitment consultancy position requiring approximately 2 hours per month, with flexibility around your existing commitments.
You will provide professional leadership and guidance by:
- Supporting the CQC registration process.
- Advising on regulatory compliance and governance.
- Reviewing policies, procedures and operational documentation.
- Providing quality assurance and best practice guidance.
- Supporting the development of person-centred documentation.
- Helping prepare the service for a successful CQC registration.
- Mentoring the provider throughout the registration journey.
Essential Experience
We are looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Registered Manager within Supported Living.
- Responsible Individual.
- CQC registration of new services.
- Learning Disabilities.
- Autism.
- Mental Health Services.
- Governance and Quality Assurance.
You should also have a good understanding of:
- Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Safeguarding Adults
- CQC Regulations and Fundamental Standards
- Person-Centred Care
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous experience successfully registering a Supported Living service.
- Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.

Consultancy Arrangement

Following successful CQC registration and service launch, the successful consultant will have the opportunity to discuss progressing into the permanent Registered Manager role, subject to mutual agreement.
