Cleveland Golf Club is looking to recruit a passionate and hardworking Greenkeeper to join our dedicated and progressive course team.
Situated on one of the country’s finest links courses, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional playing surfaces and wants to further develop a career within the golf industry.
Working closely with the Course Manager and wider greenkeeping team, you will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance, presentation, and improvement, helping to maintain the high standards expected by members and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily preparation and presentation of the golf course Carry out routine greenkeeping duties including mowing, course setup, bunker maintenance, aeration, and turf care Support ongoing course improvement and development projects Operate and maintain machinery and equipment safely and effectively Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with strong attention to detail Work collaboratively within the team while also being capable of working independently Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental awareness

Essential Strong work ethic and positive attitude Excellent attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills Genuine passion for golf course maintenance and turf management Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and flexible hours as required
Desirable Previous experience in greenkeeping or sports turf maintenance NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (or working towards) Experience operating golf course machinery
