Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a Structural Project Engineer to join our technical team. This role is ideal for someone confident working both independently and as a team on a wide range of projects across several sectors. We’re based in Yorkshire but have projects across the country, mainly in the north of England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate economical designs using the common structural materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber etc).
- Liaise with design teams to confirm project brief, work with them to produce information throughout the project cycle.
- Provide design briefs, specifications and markups to allow technicians to work up detailed drawings.
- Liase with internal and external teams to resolve technical queries
- Ensure design output complies with industry standards, regulations and company procedures
- Check drawing output of the technicians, check third party subcontract information.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 2+ years’ experience in a design role.
- Strong proficiency in design software, ideally Tekla (TSD), Tekla TEDDS, MasterSeries.
- Ability to use CAD to interrogate design drawings and use a s abased for design work.
- Good technical understanding and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines with supervision
- Confident communicator and effective team player
- Degree qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in engineering / construction ideally office based environment.
- Knowledge of BIM standards and workflows would assist but not essential.
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects
- Use of information exchange systems for document issue

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
