Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients to ensure timely meal service
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions to maintain consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Follow food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
- Help with meal assembly and presentation to ensure attractive and appetizing dishes are served
- Support serving staff during busy periods by preparing ingredients or assisting with plating as needed
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when restocking is necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues during high-volume periods
- Enthusiasm for learning culinary skills and contributing positively to the team’s success
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
