We are looking to recruit a fully trained 'level 3' vehicle technician.
Acre Lane Garage is a modern used car operation, located in the North of Northampton and has operated in the town for almost 60 years. The business carries a stock of approx. 50 used vehicles and has a busy Service department which undertakes both internal and external works. Our turnover exceeds 3.0m per annum.
Our busy workshop is supported by front of house staff, each shielding our technicians from much of the paperwork, parts ordering & customer interaction.
The workshop is well lit by newly installed LED lights and cooled (and/or heated) by 'Air Conditioning'. We operate with 'Nausbaum' ramps and have the latest in Launch & Autel diagnostic machines.
You'll have access to a small staff canteen - offering a fridge, microwave and a boiling water tap, with ingredients for hot and cold drinks provided 'free of charge'.
Our working week is Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 4.30pm (with a work thru lunch). We are closed Saturday & Sunday.
We choose NOT to operate a 'time saved bonus scheme'. Instead, we pay a fixed monthly salary.
Finding the right candidate for this role is crucial. Given our needs, any applicant MUST be 'formally qualified' with an Automotive City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance. If you are not qualified to Level 3 - please DO NOT apply.
