Silver Birch Care Home is a luxury nursing home in Ipswich, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable Alternate Weekend Receptionist to join our team. This role involves working every other weekend, covering both Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to regular weekend shifts, the successful candidate will be expected to provide reception cover during periods of staff sickness and annual leave, as required.
We are unable to offer sponsorship.
**Job Summary:**
As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support within our organization. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a positive experience and efficient handling of inquiries. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our office.
**Duties:**
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly and accurately. Ensuring visitors sign in and out.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area
- Providing hot and cold refreshments
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments
- Delivering newspapers and greeting residents
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Support office staff with clerical tasks as needed
- Ensure phone etiquette is maintained at all times
Making refreshments for both residents and their visitors
**Skills:**
- Proficient in using office equipment including computers, printers, and fax machines
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of basic administrative procedures
- Demonstrated ability to computerize information for easy retrieval
- Strong organizational skills to maintain office efficiency
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.50 per hour
