ABC Digital Solutions, is a growing technology and managed services provider helping organisations improve their workplace technology, processes, and productivity. We deliver solutions across managed print, IT services, communications, connectivity, and workplace systems.
As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our operations team and are looking for a reliable and organised Operations Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our operations department.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role providing support and resilience across our operations function. Rather than being focused on one specific area, you will be involved in several key parts of the department, including operational administration, our customer help desk and the day-to-day management of our warehouse.
You will need to be comfortable switching between different responsibilities depending on the needs of the business. Day to day, this could involve assisting customers and managing service tickets, completing operational administration, processing stock movements, or organising equipment and consumables within our warehouse.
The role will also involve occasional driving between our office, warehouse, customer sites and suppliers when required, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day administrative support across the operations department
- Answering incoming help desk calls and assisting customers with queries
- Logging, updating and managing customer support tickets within our internal systems
- Providing additional help desk cover during busy periods, holidays and absence
- Contacting customers regarding service requests, meter readings, device information and other operational queries
- Collecting, compiling and accurately maintaining operational information within our internal systems
- Monitoring jobs and ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date
- Supporting procurement activities, including ordering consumables, toner and parts
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of the warehouse
- Booking equipment, parts and consumables into stock accurately
- Managing stock booked out of the warehouse and maintaining accurate stock records
- Preparing and organising equipment and stock for upcoming jobs, deliveries and collections
- Carrying out regular stock checks and helping to investigate any discrepancies
- Ensuring the warehouse remains organised and stock can be easily identified and located
- Supporting the movement of equipment between our office, warehouse and other locations
- Driving as required to support operational requirements
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and comfortable working across several different areas of the business.
You will need:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- A professional and confident telephone manner
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing stock and operational records
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to help wherever required
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- A full UK driving licence
Previous experience within administration, operations, customer service, help desk support, stock control or warehouse environments would be beneficial, but experience in every area is not essential. Training on our systems, products and processes will be provided.
