About the Role:
At Assist Jobs and Projects Business Services, we help organisations maintain efficient, reliable, and well coordinated business operations. We are looking for an Operations Coordinator who can support daily workflows, coordinate resources, and ensure services are delivered accurately and on schedule.
You will work across multiple departments, helping teams manage schedules, documentation, suppliers, customer requirements, and operational priorities. You will also monitor performance, identify delays, and support improvements that make day to day processes more efficient.
This position is suitable for an experienced operations or business support professional who is organised, dependable, and comfortable managing several responsibilities at the same time.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Coordination:
Coordinate daily operational activities, schedules, resources, and departmental requirements to ensure work is completed efficiently.
Workflow Management:
Monitor active tasks, service requests, deadlines, and operational priorities. Follow up with responsible teams when actions are delayed or incomplete.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, schedules, forms, and internal documentation.
Supplier Coordination:
Communicate with suppliers and service providers regarding orders, delivery schedules, service requirements, and operational issues.
Performance Reporting:
Prepare regular reports covering service delivery, workload, productivity, outstanding tasks, and operational performance.
Process Improvement:
Identify inefficient processes, recurring delays, and service gaps. Recommend practical changes that improve accuracy and productivity.
Customer Service Support:
Work with customer service teams to investigate enquiries, resolve service problems, and provide accurate operational updates.
Cross Department Coordination:
Collaborate with finance, logistics, human resources, customer service, procurement, and management teams to support business requirements.
Compliance and Quality:
Ensure operational activities follow company procedures, quality standards, and relevant workplace requirements.
Problem Solving:
Respond to scheduling conflicts, delivery issues, incomplete documentation, supplier delays, and other operational challenges.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Previous experience in operations coordination, business support, administration, logistics, customer service, or a similar position.
Operational Knowledge:
A practical understanding of business workflows, scheduling, service delivery, documentation, and performance monitoring.
Systems Knowledge:
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, shared databases, reporting tools, and business management systems.
Organisation:
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Communication:
Clear and professional communication skills when working with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and service providers.
Attention to Detail:
A careful and accurate approach to operational records, reports, schedules, and business documentation.
Problem Solving:
Able to assess operational problems, identify practical solutions, and escalate serious concerns when necessary.
Teamwork:
A cooperative and dependable professional who can work effectively with different teams and departments.
Adaptability:
Comfortable responding to changing priorities, urgent requests, increased workloads, and evolving business requirements.
Initiative:
Able to work independently, follow up on outstanding actions, and take responsibility for assigned operational tasks.
Pay: £2,500.00-£2,600.00 per month
