The Famous Biscuit Billy's is looking for an assistant manager. We are looking for the right candidate that can manage high levels of trade in this well known venue.
This is a hands on leadership role in an iconic venue in Doncaster town centre. A small but high volume operation with a strong weekend trade and fast paced service. This is not a quiet pub environment — we are looking for someone who thrives under pressure, leads from the front, and can manage a high-energy team during peak late-night hours. You will need to be a confident individual to be able to deal with the challenges working in a late night bar brings. Focused on a great customer experience.
This is a hands-on Manager role in a fast-paced, high-volume bar/nightlife environment. Ideal for an experienced Assistant Manager or Team Leader/Supervisor with strong late-night experience.
Operating 6 nights per week (1am Sun–Thurs, 3am Fri & Sat).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the bar
- Supervise and train bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Manage staff schedules, ensuring sufficient coverage during peak hours
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock control
- Ensure the bar complies with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner
- Support the development and implementation of promotions and events
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure financial accuracy
- Maintain a positive and fun work environment for all staff
Requirements:
- Experience as an Assistant Manager or Team leader in a busy bar or nightclub
- Background in late-night, high-volume venues
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good knowledge of stock control & GP
- Able to work late-night shifts (up to 4am weekends)
- Experience in managing social media for a bar, nightclub, hospitality venue or similar fast-paced business
- Abilty to train and motivate staff.
