Support Worker
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract: 24 Hours per Week
Shift Pattern: Days (07:00–19:00) and Nights (19:00–07:00)
We are seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker to support a friendly and independent 31-year-old gentleman with complex care needs in his own home. This rewarding role involves providing person-centred care, promoting independence, and supporting him to enjoy the activities he loves, including football, gaming, shopping, and accessing the local community.
Responsibilities include tracheostomy care and suctioning, ventilation support, PEG care and feeding assistance, nebuliser administration, cough assist therapy, personal care, and moving and handling, including the use of a hoist. You will also support daily living activities and community access. Our client has full mental capacity and is actively involved in decisions regarding his care and lifestyle. Due to his tracheostomy and ventilator, he may communicate verbally, through lip reading, writing, or using his phone, so patience, adaptability, and effective communication skills are essential.
