The Vacancy
We are seeking a Collection Support Service Assistant to join our team, contributing to our commitment to care for and provide access to library collections. This is a varied role where the right candidate will focus on delivering excellent customer service along with preserving these collections for future generations.
The ideal candidate will have a conscientious, enthusiastic approach to their work. You will also be able to work accurately under pressure and take an innovative approach to problem solving. Dealing with colleagues and other departments requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You will be able to multi-task and meet set deadlines, both individually and as part of a team. The post involves a great deal of walking, along with manual handling and working at height with use of step ladders so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
