Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Process accounts payable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with financial reporting by preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other reports as needed.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with team members to review financial data for accuracy and consistency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff or interns when applicable, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial management processes and systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time role.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of financial management tools and techniques to support accurate reporting.
- Prior experience mentoring or guiding colleagues is a plus but not required.

Pay: From £29,000.00 per year
