Job Title: Group People Officer
Location: Manchester, UK (1 day per week in office)
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for a Group People Officer to join our amazing HR team at Leep Group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation making a difference within the community.
The Group People Officer will support the Group People Manager in the delivering of an efficient and effective HR function across the group through handling day-to-day queries and providing HR support; working on a range of HR processes, both transactional and more complex issues when required, from recruitment and throughout the employee lifecycle; using HR systems to keep accurate records; providing relevant HR information to the business; working with the business on HR changes. The right candidate will take ownership on providing advice to managers regarding a wide range of HR issues in line with company policy and current employment law.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service on a range of HR queries and requirements, providing solutions, advice and support primarily to managers and building managers’ expertise in HR matters, improving their ability to handle repeated situations themselves where appropriate.
- Use sound questioning and active listening skills to understand requirements and establish root causes before developing HR solutions, taking ownership through to resolution and escalating complex situations as appropriate.
- Take initiative to meet agreed individual and team KPIs in line with company policy, values, standards, planning and organising your work often without direct supervision to meet commitments and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR performance and service as well as support implementation of HR changes/projects with the business.
- Deal effectively with customers and colleagues, using sound interpersonal skills and communicating well through a range of media, including through Teams, face-to-face, email and over the phone, adapts your style where required and building handling conflict and sensitive HR situations professionally and confidentially.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience within a similar HR-related role, particularly within the training/employment industry.
- Able to work well with a range of people collaboratively, both in and outside of the business, always respecting the importance of confidentiality.
- Focused on delivering best practice and results for the business with strong determination and resourcefulness
- CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
