Job Summary:
D&R Plumbing & Heating Contractors Ltd are a gas safe registered plumbing and heating company based in Barnsley since 2002, delivering professional boiler, heating, ASHP and plumbing services across Yorkshire and the North Midlands for major house builders. Due to staff retirement alongside the expansion of the business, we are looking to employ a new Contracts Manager/Supervisor to look after our busy sites in Yorkshire and the North Midlands. Ideally this role may suit an indivdual that has worked on the tools and is looking to follow a new career path whilst maintaining their plumbing knowledge and skills both in the office environment and out on site.
About this role:
· Permanent and Full-Time position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
· Salary negotiable depending on experience.
· Company vehicle with fuel card provided.
· Mobile phone provided.
· Based at our office in Barnsley, managing your time between office-based duties and on-site duties/visits.
· Manage up to 10 engineers programme of works and team schedules across Yorkshire and the North Midlands region.
· A good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Computer literate with excel experience would be advantageous.
· Liase with Site Managers, Commercial / Contracts Managers and Directors for programme of works etc.
· Perform technical checks on completed jobs, conduct “toolbox talks” and provide hands on technical assistance when required.
· Oversee complex plumbing works on-site, ensuring all projects meet high standards of quality and safety.
· Prepare purchase orders and call offs for materials.
· Prepare quotes for additional and ad-hoc works.
· Prepare and maintain updated kit sheets for various fixes for plumbing supplies.
· Ensuring apprentice plumbers are receiving the correct on-site training and knowledge whilst ensuring D&R quality standards are met.
· Ensuring Health and Safety measures are being adhered to and encouraging safe working practices on site.
Qualifications:
· Plumbing experience.
· Good leadership qualities.
· Knowledge of new build drawings.
· Self-motivated.
· Understand the construction build process.
· Gas qualifications would be advantageous.
