Overview
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Workers with driving licences to provide high-quality in-home care services. This role involves supporting individuals with a variety of needs, including elderly clients, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring specialised care such as dementia or Alzheimer's. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while working within a supportive team environment. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Providing specialised support for clients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or hospice needs
- Supporting clients with mobility and assisting with light physical tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Driving clients to appointments, social activities, or errands safely and punctually
- Monitoring and managing behaviour through compassionate behaviour management techniques
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns to supervisors
- Assisting with household tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients
- Supporting families by offering respite care and guidance on caring for loved ones
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's, and hospice care
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on senior care and child care when required
- Ability to administer medication safely and perform basic first aid procedures
- Excellent driving skills with a valid driving licence for client transportation
- Compassionate approach to caregiving with excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs
- Organised and reliable with the ability to manage multiple client schedules efficiently
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality
