Financial Markets Middle Office cooperates with Head Office to conduct market, credit, operational risk monitoring and reporting of London Trading Centre and Global Financial Markets (GFM) in Bank of China (BOC) London Branch and BOC (UK) Limited, and other overseas branches to meet the relevant policies and requirements in respect of risk framework establishment and implementation. As a Senior Associate Market and Credit Risk - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of market risk and counterparty credit risk of London Trading Centre, BOC London Branch, BOC (UK) Limited and other European and African entities. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

Carry out risk control activities on market risk and counterparty credit risk pertaining to the financial markets business of London Trading Centre, London Branch and other European entities in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures

Support with enhancement and update of policies and procedures with regards to counterparty credit risk and market risk controls as well as other related controls or operations

Issue risk opinions on significant or emerging risks to the business units

Investigate and approve or reject hard-blocked transactions in the system

Review and approve IT system user applications and set up system parameters

Assist with new staff training

Cover other team members when required
Requirements

Degree educated in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant subject

Professional qualification in financial markets (e.g. CFA, FRM) is preferred

Experience in trading, treasury, risk management, clearing and settlement or other areas of financial markets within Financial Services, ideally Banking, is preferred

Understanding of financial markets products

Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills

Excellent MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills

Proficiency in VBA is preferred
