Are you interested in working within a busy Health and Safety Team committed to continuous improvement and supporting positive Health and Safety management systems and culture across a large organisation?
We are looking for a Health and Safety Adviser to join the team to provide excellent health and safety advice across the functions of the County Council.
This role will suit an enthusiastic, passionate and aspiring safety professional. The responsibilities include supporting policy development, advising, auditing, reporting, and working closely with services and teams to create solutions for health and safety challenges and share best practice.
The role will often be demanding, and there is a need to be highly organised, and juggle competing demands, whilst keeping self-motivated. A strong attention to detail is essential along with great IT and analytical skills. The role required excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, the ability to travel across the county is also a must.
You will have experience in a similar Health and Safety role, hold or be working towards a NEBOSH General Certificate/Diploma or equivalent. If you have the skills, knowledge and passion for health and safety and the drive to progress then we want to hear from you.
