Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Hard Landscaper to join our dynamic landscaping team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining durable outdoor hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structural elements that enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces. Your expertise will help transform outdoor environments into stunning, long-lasting landscapes that meet client specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Execute the installation of hardscape features including paving, stonework, brickwork, and concrete structures with precision and attention to detail
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and power tools safely to prepare sites, move materials, and complete construction tasks
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks like soil preparation, grading, and drainage setup to ensure proper foundation for hardscape elements
- Use hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and securing materials to achieve high-quality finishes
- Maintain equipment including power tools and machinery through routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to plan project layouts, interpret blueprints, and execute designs efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental standards while maintaining a clean worksite
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or landscaping with a focus on hardscape installation and groundskeeping
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to operating excavators, power tools, and other construction equipment
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, gardening, horticulture, and irrigation systems is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Excellent hand tool skills for detailed craftsmanship and finishing work
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy machinery operation and construction sites
- Physical stamina to perform demanding outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
