Duties
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families by offering compassionate support and active listening
- Assess family needs and develop tailored plans to address challenges related to parenting, behavior management, or family cohesion
- Provide practical advice and resources to help families improve communication and resolve conflicts effectively
- Facilitate workshops or group sessions focused on parenting skills, emotional well-being, and family resilience
- Collaborate with community organizations and service providers to connect families with additional resources
- Document case progress, maintain accurate records of interactions, and track outcomes for continuous improvement
- Support children directly by engaging in activities that promote their emotional development and well-being
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a supportive or educational capacity
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse families
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—focused on clarity and transparency
- Ability to assess family situations objectively and develop practical intervention strategies
- Knowledge of child development principles and family dynamics
- Organized with strong record-keeping abilities to ensure accurate documentation of casework
- Flexibility to adapt approaches based on individual family needs
