We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Control Room Operative to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating security operations, ensuring all shifts are covered, officers are monitored, and client requirements are met.
This role requires excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced security control room environment.
Key Responsibilities
Launch and manage all scheduled security shifts
Monitor officer attendance and accurately record all book-ons and book-offs.
Conduct regular welfare and check calls to on-duty officers to ensure site compliance and alertness.
Coordinate and deploy officers for emergency cover requests, last-minute absences, and alarm response activations.
Create and manage staff rotas across multiple client sites.
Maintain regular communication with clients and provide operational updates when required.
Monitor control room communications and respond promptly to incidents and operational issues.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and incident logs.
Support the Operations Team in ensuring service delivery standards are consistently met.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in security operations or security control room management, would be advantageous.
Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong telephone and call-handling abilities.
Experience creating and managing rotas across multiple sites.
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, security officers, and management.
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and security management systems.
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Requirements
Experience conducting BS7858 vetting and screening of security personnel.
Previous experience within a security control room environment.
Knowledge of alarm response operations and lone worker monitoring.
Understanding of security industry regulations and best practices.
